Autodromo dell'Umbria is a motorsport circuit located in Magione, Umbria, Italy, approximately 20 kilometers (12 miles) west of Perugia and 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) east of Lake Trasimeno. Construction of the circuit began in spring 1972 with an original length of 1.650 kilometers (1.025 miles). The circuit held its inaugural race on April 7, 1973. The facility was named after Grand Prix driver Baconin Borzacchini, an Italian racing legend.
The circuit was extended in the 1990s to its present configuration of 2.507 kilometers (1.558 miles). The track is 10 to 12 meters wide and runs in a clockwise direction, featuring 9 to 11 corners depending on how they are counted. The longest straight measures 800 meters on the back section of the circuit. The track is described as technical with a combination of corners and short straights that reward precision driving. Autodromo dell'Umbria is currently used for national racing, club racing, testing, track days, and private events, serving as an important motorsport facility in central Italy for various levels of competition and driver development.
