Motorcenter Norway
Motorcenter Norway Notes:
Motorcenter Norway is a comprehensive motorsport facility located at the top of the mountain in Sokndal, Norway, covering approximately 100 hectares (1 million square meters) of a complex shaped and topographically challenging site. The main circuit measures 2.324 kilometers (1.444 miles) in length with 14 corners, running in a clockwise direction - a unique feature in Europe. The circuit is FIA Grade 3 and FIM Grade B certified and is approved for international race criteria up to Formula 3 level. The facility was designed by APEX Circuit Design.
The track is characterized by exhilarating elevation changes with significant grade and camber change in corners, along with asymmetrical corner radii that create a challenging and technical layout. Additional facilities at the complex include a massive off-road racing area of 381,000 square meters, an indoor motocross track, a dragstrip that utilizes part of the road race track, and plans for a future karting track. Motorcenter Norway represents Norway's most complete motorsport center, combining road racing, off-road, drag racing, and motocross facilities in a single comprehensive complex in a dramatic mountainous setting.
