Chang International Circuit - Buriram
Chang International Circuit - Buriram Примечания:
Chang International Circuit, also known as Buriram International Circuit, is located in Buriram, Thailand. Designed by renowned track architect Hermann Tilke, the circuit opened in October 2014 and became Thailand's first FIA Grade 1 and FIM Grade A certified facility. The circuit measures 4.554 kilometers in length with 12 turns total - 7 right-hand turns and 5 left-hand turns - running in a clockwise direction. This makes it one of the circuits with the least number of curves on the MotoGP calendar, equaling Phillip Island's 12 turns.
The track features three long straights where MotoGP riders can reach speeds of over 330 km/h (205 mph), with an average speed of 179.2 km/h. MotoGP races consist of 26 laps. MotoGP confirmed the Thailand Grand Prix in September 2017 with an initial three-year commitment from 2018-2020, which was later extended in February 2021 until at least 2026. The Thailand Grand Prix is scheduled to be the opening round of both the 2025 and 2026 MotoGP seasons. The circuit has a total capacity of 100,000 people with various grandstands, making it one of the premier motorsport venues in Southeast Asia.
