Jennings GP- Motorcycle Only
Jennings GP- Motorcycle Only Notes:
Jennings GP is the only "Motorcycle Only" road racing circuit in the United States, featuring a two-mile course with 14 turns. The facility is located about 40 miles north of Lake City, Florida. Track owner Borg Larsen, a commercial pilot who wanted a safe place to ride his motorcycle, developed the idea that became Jennings GP. The track was designed by experienced rider, racer, and instructor Ed Bargy and took 18 months to build before opening for business in 2001.
Borg Larsen, his wife Jacky, and their staff run private and open track days from January through March and reopen from September through December. Jennings GP is used primarily for track days and rider training courses but is available for rent to organizations and racing series. The Championship Cup Series stages its motorcycle racing rounds at the facility. The motorcycle lap record is held by Niccolò Canepa with a time of 1:12.3 riding an EBR 1190RX on December 23, 2014. The circuit's dedication exclusively to motorcycles makes it a unique and cherished venue in the American motorcycle racing community.
