Mazda RX-8, Fatcat coilovers, sway bars, Direzza Z2 255/40/17.
~1s overall improvement over my first drive of the 5 mile track in July. Breaking down the comparison to that one the improvements all came in the old part of the track:
-0.6s through 1st section on the old track. Some of that gain by using more exit through 4. I also used a wider entry to 3 this time and 3rd gear over 5.
-0.3s by using 2nd gear in the connector.
+0.3s through west track to last corner (so basically the same speed discounting my shift error)
-0.3s through last corner (that was the mistake last time out).
On the 2nd lap in this video I was 0.3s faster before getting into traffic.
My optimal this time out was probably a low 3:50. There's more speed in the car for sure, but for me it's now mostly going to be small improvements and I found that really hard to do this time over such a long lap.
