Driver's Notes:
Unfortunately didn't record video on my actual PB lap of 1:31.30, so here's a pretty similar lap of 1:31.85. TONS of traffic all day. Lots of aggressive drivers who don't understand the concept of gapping each other out for a better flow, so I never got a clean session in all day. I was constantly battling through traffic.
Although I failed to acquire my goal of a sub-1:30, I still feel good about this day! I pushed myself to dive deeper with more speed in a lot of turns where I previously was too timid to attempt. And I'm happy that I was able to enjoy this scorching hot day with friends on the track.
All the new parts on the car and changes we've made have really started to take shape! We raised the car to basically stock height to keep suspension geometry correct, which made the car SO much more compliant, predictable, and smooth. The S3 coilovers paired with 12kg/20kg Swift Springs kept the car so planted and allowed me to take T8 with so much more speed than I did previously. The Signature Werks ZL1 BBK were INCREDIBLE all day. No fade, consistent, powerful braking force on demand on a seriously hot day. The car now has full SPL arms and a rear swaybar courtesy of Eibach. The car is feeling dialed. All we need is more seat time AND A REAR WING.
