This is my fastest lap of the day at the Uk Time Attack series, round 6 on the 29th August 2022 at Donington Park on the national layout.

The day wasn’t without issues … for a change 🤣

I resisted (largely) the urge to press the boost button on the steering wheel and thought I would learn the track a little through the day, the qualifying was cut short due to the red Astra breaking down I believe on turn 1. Luckily I had set a banker lap of a 1:13.5 (actually the fastest lap of the day and enough to beat the original lap record of 1:13.6)
With an ideal of a 1:13.0 across the 2 laps, the traffic in this video unfortunately lost me a lot of time as you will see.

All set for the final and ready to give it some more boost, again I set a banker lap early of a 1:13.8 and then proceeded to press the boost button. Made it nearly all the way round a lap but the car didn’t feel as responsive in terms of boost as it had all day, low and behold, final straight, boost pipe blew off the turbo. Ruined the final and the target I had set in my head of a 1:12 was gone. 6.5 minutes session time remaining, I came into the pits, I’m out the car trying to get the pipe back on but everything is red hot, it wasn’t meant to be. Unfortunately the lap record and p1 was taken by Jack in the litchfield gtr.
Luckily though, I had set an initial time early on to secure p2, not all was lost.

Roll on Brands hatch for round 7 💪
