Circuit d'Albi
Circuit d'Albi Notes:
The Circuit d'Albi is a 3.565 km motorsport race track located in the French town of Le Sequestre near Albi, about 80 km northeast of Toulouse. The circuit began as a replacement for the Circuit des Planques, a tree-lined course on public roads that had been in use since the 1930s. The first Albi Grand Prix was held there in August 1933, with the modern permanent circuit opening on September 7, 1962, in the presence of around 30,000 spectators.
The circuit is the second oldest continuously-operating purpose-built circuit in France. Throughout its history, legendary names such as Jack Brabham, Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart, and Alain Prost have all raced at Albi. The track shares its grounds with an active airport in its infield. After financial troubles in 2014, new management took over in 2015, and the circuit regained its place hosting major French championships including the FFSA GT Championship.
