Smolensk Ring -Смоленск Ринг メモ:
Smolensk Ring is a Hermann Tilke-designed motorsport circuit located near the town of Verkhnedneprovsky in western Russia, approximately 90 kilometers east of Smolensk city and 250 kilometers west of Moscow. Opening to racing in August 2010 with the FIA European Truck Racing Championship, the 3.362-kilometer circuit features 13 turns (8 left and 5 right) with a width of 12-15 meters, blending fast corners, technical sections, and straights into a layout capable of supporting maximum speeds around 241 km/h. Originally granted an FIA Grade 2 license suitable for all categories except Formula One, the circuit now operates at Grade 4 status. Built on a 23.4-hectare site near Safonovo, Smolensk Ring serves Russian national racing series and regional motorsport events, providing western Russia with a modern permanent circuit designed to international standards in a region historically underserved by motorsport infrastructure.
