Avon Slick

The Avon slick is a spectacular racing-focused tire designed to win high-end races on dry racetracks. Its symmetric semi-slick tread design pattern uses an internal structure that includes a spirally-wrapped polyamide cord on top of a two-ply nylon cord casing and reinforcing twin steel belts. The Avon Slicks are the kings of dry surfaces because they incorporate the most recent engineering to provide exceptional gripping and handling. Nevertheless, wet tracks and highways are out of boundaries for these tires, as they are not road-legal due to the high risk of aquaplaning.

The Avon slick features a smooth, groove-less surface that provides high levels of grip and a more direct rubber contact with the road, making these the perfect combination for speed racers and motor heads worldwide. Its slick tread design makes the tire's rotation in different directions possible, extending the usable life of the tread, reducing the replacement frequency, and lowering maintenance costs. The Avon slick peaks its optimal performance after mandatory heat cycling, guaranteeing superb grip, enhancing consistency and even wear, and improving the tracks' lap time and steering response.
