Fiat
X1/9
Notes
The Fiat X1/9 is a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car produced from 1972 to 1989. Designed by Bertone, it features a distinctive wedge-shaped body and a removable targa roof. Built on a monocoque chassis, the X1/9 offers exceptional handling for its class, thanks to its balanced layout and fully independent suspension. Early models used a 1.3L SOHC engine with a 4-speed manual, while later versions upgraded to a 1.5L engine and 5-speed gearbox. Compact, lightweight, and agile, the X1/9 delivered an engaging driving experience and was one of the first affordable mid-engine cars made for the street.
