2.00.75 best lap from my first time running Buttonwillow Circuit.
Not every day you get to drive a new track. Also ran double run groups. Ran the sim for a while and knew the course pretty well going into the event. Think I enjoyed it more in real life. (Sim is probably due for a new version. Is older than the actual track.)

Kinda frustrated that I PB'd the first session and never really shaved any time the rest of the day. Either good that I can lay a lap down right out the gate or bad that I made no additional progress throughout the day. Knowing there is more time on the table. I will go with the second one...

Optimal at the end of the day was a 1.58.87. Just couldnt put it all together clean. Leaves plenty of room for another event in a year or two. This will have to do for now. I definitely can't show up to a track and throw down killer laps right away. Still need more experience and comfort baked in. Chip away slowly. See no reason I couldnt hit the optimal on a second go.

Had the same issue at this track as CW13 with my shifting points. The G-forces and realness aspect complicated the downshift for me. Took a few corners in 3rd and ate the mini-bog, to focus on the driving the line. Is probably possible to increase my min-speed entry and make third work. When I was downshifting later in the day. Seemed it was worth about ~.2 seconds of pace. Is nearly half a second just on those 2 corners with one technique change. Building this type of consistency and memory across every corner is de way to shave.

10/05/25 track day hosted by Speed Ventures. Red + Green Group (Open Passing).
