CSCA Supersprint organised by MG Car Club of Newcastle. This was my first drive on the new circuit and in my 2015 1.5L ND in Standard class with Bridgestone RE71RS tyres. My last track day at Wakefield Park was on 22 May 2022 as it shut down later that year. Three years is a long time! Absolutely love the new circuit. The corners are much faster, which makes it heaps more fun. Given that we had no idea what laptimes were going to be like, we carried over the Wakefield Park benchmark times, so I was aiming for 1:13.9. Imagine my surprise and delight when I ended up with a fastest time of 1:12.067! This video shows my last run where I was chasing Chris Andry (yellow NC) and Reece Lyndon (silver NC). Laps 2 to 7 were all in the 1:12s with my PB on lap 3, then 1:12.19 on lap 5.
