It is good to be back to racing season. After a cold winter and a long off season of doing little upgrades here and there to the #97 Mustang, I'm definitely glad to be back on track and back in the seat again for another season.

After ending off the last season on a high note and conquering this track, I'm looking to find a little more pace, a little more speed, and a lot more bravery. Especially as this was the weekend that put a nice long halt to my racing start after having brake failure going into Turn 3. So I was looking to see if I could outlast the weekend and not have this track, and more importantly this event, be a sore spot for me. I started off pretty well, though. Put down a very quick personal best of 1: 19.195 to take pole position (unfortunately the video file didn't make it out of this weekend) ahead of a few Touring 2 cars that I really wanted to stay ahead of. But it was good racing with Brian, Ben, and Ken. Hopefully we'll get to do it more in the future!

Coming into 2025, I do want to thank the track workers, volunteers, and SCCA staff that were at the event for both the Driver's School that happened the day prior and the Double Regional weekend afterwards. All of you make it easy and a joy to come out and play. And, to borrow the SCCA's motto, #haveFunWithCars.
