First time at Willow Springs International Raceway! Specifically, Streets of Willow (clockwise). With on and off rain, gusty winds and ambient temps at or below 50F, it created some unpredictable conditions. Seriously a lot of fun and so glad I made it here, despite feeling absolutely thrashed from a full day at BWRP the day before.
I really like this track and think I would like it even more if it ran CCW. Maybe that's a reason for me to come back. I didn't really care about lap times given the conditions and my first time here, but I think given the conditions, I started to understand the track better with just a few laps into the day. There's countless areas left for improvement and I couldn't work on some of those throughout the day because the weather severely deteriorated after the early morning. I had such a great time though.
