Jörg Bergmeister is a former racing driver from Germany and an ambassador of Porsche. His late father, Willi Bergmeister, owned a workshop and dealership where Michael Schumacher learned his trade as a car mechanic in the 1980s. Since 1996, Jörg has raced in the Porsche Carrera Cup
Porsche 718 GT4 RS sets new official lap time with Manthey kit
The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS with Manthey kit has set a new official lap time on the Nordschleife. With Porsche brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister at the wheel, the 500-hp modified GT sports car lapped the 20.8-kilometer circuit in the Eifel region in 7:03.121 minutes ¬- 6.179 seconds faster than the standard 718 Cayman GT4 RS about a year earlier - under 18 degrees Celsius and cloudy skies. Both cars were equipped with the optionally available Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. The lap time was certified by a notary present on site.
