Nemunas Ring - Nemuno Žiedas
Nemunas Ring - Nemuno Žiedas Notas:
Nemunas Ring (Nemuno Žiedas) is the only permanent racetrack in Lithuania, located in Kačerginė, within 17 kilometers of Kaunas. The area has been used since the 1960s for local motorbike and car racing, with the permanent circuit built in the late 1980s and modernized in 2003. The circuit offers different configurations, with the main layout measuring approximately 2.62 kilometers with 12 turns (a mix of right and left turns), though some measurements indicate a 3,350-meter racing circuit, possibly representing an alternative layout.
The facility has a maximum spectator capacity of 20,000. The circuit features multiple layouts including a "Fast Lap" main layout and a Trackday layout with additional tire chicanes. While the venue represents an important motorsport facility as Lithuania's only permanent circuit, it is considered a developing facility with ongoing improvements. Nemunas Ring serves various national motorsport events and track days, providing Lithuanian motorsport enthusiasts with a domestic venue for circuit racing and driver development. The circuit plays a crucial role in the Baltic motorsport community as one of the region's accessible racing facilities.
