Spring Mountain Motor Resort Charleston Peak
Spring Mountain Motor Resort Charleston Peak Notes:
The Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club is a motorsports complex founded by John Morris and Brad Rambo in 2004 with a simple concept in mind: providing a challenging and safe space for motor enthusiasts to unleash their passion for speed. The high-end resort facilities allow the families and friends of the drivers to enjoy their stay, with multiple racing-related activities that let them participate in the motorsport action. Located in Pahrump, Nevada, a high desert town an hour ride west from Las Vegas, temperatures tend to be more pleasant than in the rest of the Mojave Desert, with day-to-night temperature variations of up to 68 °F (20 °C). There is no rain or snow to worry about most of the year.
The world-class road course at Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club is one of the most versatile of its kind in America, with more than 50 possible layouts, some of them able to run simultaneously. The track extends for more than 6 miles and includes a wide variety of features for drivers to learn and master. The different layouts receive the name legends of motorsports, such as Villeneuve, Andretti, Fangio, or Senna, to mention a few. The road course also includes replicas of famous corners from other tracks like Watkins Glen "Bus Stop" or Laguna Seca "Corkscrew" so that racing fans can live the experience of going through these features without leaving the resort.
Charleston Peak Notes:
The Charleston Peak configuration at Spring Mountain Motor Resort delivers the standard Charleston Peak circuit without the extended Full or North variants, creating Spring Mountain's flagship modern layout at this Nevada facility. The Charleston Peak circuit emphasizes the facility's investment in FIA Grade 3 infrastructure with 40-foot width and dramatic elevation changes. This configuration serves as the primary layout for serious track day participants and racing events.
What distinguishes Charleston Peak from Spring Mountain's older Mansell and other circuits is the modern design with comprehensive safety infrastructure and FIA certification. Nevada's desert climate creates extreme temperatures with summer sessions often exceeding 60C track temperature. The Charleston Peak layout established itself as Spring Mountain's premier offering when it opened, providing Las Vegas-area motorsport enthusiasts with international-standard circuit infrastructure within driving distance of the city.
