2023: The M3 CS (G80) was introduced as a more track-focused variant of the M3 Competition. It features a 3.0-liter twin-turbo S58 engine with 543 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, slightly more power than the standard M3 Competition. Standard equipment includes an 8-speed automatic transmission, BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system with an option for rear-wheel-drive mode, and lightweight materials like a carbon fiber roof, hood, and bucket seats. The suspension was tuned for more aggressive handling, and the model was given unique styling elements, including a distinctive front splitter, blacked-out trim, and special paint options.

2024: No major changes were introduced, with BMW continuing production of the M3 CS G80 in limited quantities. The focus remained on high-performance driving, with slight adjustments to available colors and minor software updates.
