The fourth session on day one of the 2021 MVP TrackTime event at Mid Ohio. I had the pleasure of taking my Mom out for a session on the pro course at a track we had frequented to watch the Indycar races when I was younger. We managed a 1:42.60, about two seconds off of a real “fast lap” in the 6th Gen Camaro SS 1LE, but not too shabby for my first event in the car. I struggled all weekend with my 2-3 shifts, very different than the 5th Gen I spent six years tracking, but progressively improved throughout the weekend. I had a tendency to either hit the gate separator between 3rd/5th or put it in 5th instead of 3rd. Fast lap starts at 16:00.
