Track day session 3 with David Anderson in 2012 MP4-12C at Weathertech Laguna Seca Raceway. Event sponsored by McLaren of San Francisco and run by Hooked on Driving. The 12C proves it is still a great car, even at 7 years old and 50,000 miles, running on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Throughout the session, the 12C can find a way to get past many newer cars including an orange McLaren 600LT (at 1:44), Porsche GT3RS (at 3:25), grey 600LT 9at 4:05), grey McLaren 720S (at 5:11), Ferrari 488 Pista (at 5:55), yet another 600LT (at 7:52), an orange 720S (at 8:06) and eventually the McLaren 570S 9at 18:35). Best time of day was 1:39.1 but this session I couldn't break 1:40. I know I'm not getting back to throttle quickly enough at the apex of most turns. Much work to do still to find another 3-4 seconds... But it surely isn't the car's fault! Special thanks to Jay Rosas at Vision Wells for the great video work!
