RX8 Club Track-day 18/02/2023

Participating in my first ever track day presented a few challenges, but ultimately resulted in a satisfying outcome.
During the first sessions of the day I was having trouble with traffic which prevented me from having a clean lap and caused frustration and bad driving (from my side). The tires also came into contact with both sides and the top of the fenders, so together with the GripLimit team we attempted fender rolling and pulling in order to clear the side rubbing issue. Despite our efforts, the issue persisted during the following session, leading to a brief meeting during which we decided to lift the boot of the suspension by 0.5 cm. Fortunately, this decision finally fixed the problem.
However, in the following sessions we encountered another issue, this time with the anti-roll bar links, which required immediate attention in order to ensure proper function of the front suspension. Working together with the team, we promptly resolved this issue, allowing the car to perform at its full potential. With only one session remaining, I set out to achieve a perfect lap (although I fell short of this goal).
All things considered, I am really happy with the current setup, and plan to return to the beautiful Serres Racing Circuit in the near future to further improve my driving skills and achieve a new personal best lap time, ideally coming close to 1:34 flat.
