This car has seen a few transformation over the past 18months, changing up suspension and aero parts to run between MRA Super TT, IPRA and Endurance Racing in the past year. Now equipped with a K20A for the U2L IPRA series last year, we have keep with platform to show the potential of the OEM K20 engine powerplant 

Our Honda Civic FWD Race cars has been more focus of the OEM K24 powerplant due to the extra torque and power these engine produces and also its cost effective nature. We had a few opportunity with Luke's K20A EK Civic, lapping in the 1:43 range 2 years ago but he has since gone K24. 

S.Wan Honda Civic is the remaining K20 powered Honda Civic prepped and managed by the BYP Racing team. It was great for the team to get 1-1 time with the car to set-up up the suspension and handling package before this weekend Wakefield Park 300. Also gave us an opportunity to put down some laps and test the car speed, consistency and reliability 

The car was quick straight out of the box, first session in and on the second flying lap, we were straight into the 1:42's. The car did 3x 1:42's and 3x 1:43's back to back in the session. Optimum time of 1:41.8 ! 

We said it before, an OEM K20 is capable of 1:42's and now we have the lap time to prove that discussion. It seems 1:41 is capable but it will need fresh tyres with ideal conditions.
