The 0.85-mile (1.36-km) road course at IMI Motorsports Complex in Dacono, Colorado, half an hour ride north of Denver, is a rough and dusty venue for aspiring racers to polish their dry-surface driving skills. There are six different racing facilities in the IMI Motorsports Complex, including the main road course, a motocross track, a karting circuit, a quarter-mile midget oval track, and two independent off-road tracks. The harsh arid climate of the Centennial State is always dry, with heavy snowfall in winter and scorching heat in summer, and it holds the record for the sunniest American state with an average of 300 sunny days a year.
There are ten corners in the IMI Motorsports Complex raceway, which goes through a bumpy trajectory snaking in the desert over off-camber turns and constant changes of directions. The frequent ups & downs in the road course add some blind corners to the mix, elevating the technical difficulties of maneuvering on this narrow track. The venue hosts regular karting, motorcycling, and racing events attracting spectators from the northern Denver area.
