G-FORCE R1 Slick

The BFGoodrich G-FORCE R1 Slick is a racetrack-oriented tire designed to optimize racing performance for motorsports drivers in a competition event. It uses a competition tread R-compound with a 4/32'' depth that eliminates the need for shaving. This rubber mixture is a soft treadwear 40 that wears evenly on its contact patch to guarantee top-performance during the relatively short lifespan of the slicks. The BFGoodrich G-FORCE R1 Slick needs heat cycling to ensure a dependable grip that translates into better driving lap after lap. Racing teams in endurance racing competitions leverage these slicks' technical aspects to get ahead of the pack.  

 

The BFGoodrich G-FORCE R1 Slick features a symmetric semi-slick tread design that improves the tire's rotation in different directions and maximizes the tread life. Its internal structure includes a spirally-wrapped polyamide cord on top of a two-ply nylon cord casing reinforcing twin steel belts, improving stability and handling. Although the BFGoodrich G-FORCE R1 Slick's extreme dry gripping and exceptional handling, these tires are not recommended for wet surfaces because of aquaplaning, a consideration that makes them not road legal.
