Who says you can't track a base edition Mustang GT? I couldn't have asked for a better day, especially after my rough history at Auto Club Speedway, breaking part after part. Weather was nice and cool, Hoosier A7's ready to go, and got a voluntary point-by on the first flying lap, for a shot at this traffic-free lap, merci beaucoup Jean Luc.

Last year at this time, I had run 1m46.7, and while the time was pretty good, I made plenty of small mistakes, overshooting some, overcorrecting others. Watched the hell out of that video and vowed to fix them, and to my surprise, that turned into a 2 second improvement for a 1:44.562, which was not only 1st in my class (TT2 / 8:1 power/weight), but also turned out to be 1st overall in all Time Trials.

I purposely left the parts out where I get out and jump up and down like an idiot, and high five all my friends, because I've got a serious reputation to uphold. Apologies for the blurriness, I am one of those who have to lather with sunscreen beforehand, and that stuff gets everywhere. Next stop for us is the famed Buttonwillow Raceway Park, where last time out, I set the 3 wheel course record, and then later the NASA SoCal CW 25A record for TT2. Not sure which layout or direction it's going to be yet, but looking forward to continue with another strong showing.
