1.50.05 personal best in the E46M at Sonoma Raceway. (Down from a 1.50.93)
Back to Sonoma to try and grind down to a sub-50 with the slow M3. Juuuuuuust barely missed out on the goal. Had a nice mid 49 optimal.
With my new alignment tweak last month. The car is way more playful in the corners and definitely made it easier to drive Sonoma. Made a much larger difference than at Thunderhill West a couple weeks back. Was beating my old PB almost every session today. Consistency and smoothness are starting to really build at Sonoma. After my 1.47 in the F80. My confidence at Sonoma is very strong atm.
Notes compared to old PB:
T1: Tracked out further before hill
T2: Little more aggression with throttle mid curb jump
T5: Went to 4th. Rather than hitting limiter in 3rd
Carousel: Feeding power earlier mid/exit
T8: This was one of the best T8 i have ever done on either car. Basically, 90mph min speed the entire time. Also not braking at all going into 8a. Need to dig around data and other laps.
