Trackday 19 in the G87 and just finished two busy Sundays in a row at Sonoma. I was fortunate enough to meet up with and have @Zygrene and @jubbalandcars test ride my car. That was fun and really nice guys. I rode shotgun with Zygrene and learned a couple new approaches to a few turns. So between that, passengers, a couple black flags, and traffic, I really only had a few laps across 2 sessions between the two days to feel out the new setup (Verus Engineering front and side spiltters, UCW wing, M2 CS Tune, JB4 Map 1, VTForged SL-A.3 SuperLites with Conti ECF 295/30/19 square setup, Gyrodisc front rotors, and Pagid RSL29 pads) at Sonoma. Last time at Sonoma I was consistently doing mid 52's with best 1.52.2. With this setup, I'm doing consistent mid 50's with theoretical bests in the high 1.47's. My PB was 1.50.6. I just need a few more clean laps and will start getting sub-1.50s. I'm pretty much at the point with SpeedSF that I'll have to move up to the gold group. I also have been using a Garmin Catalyst but can't hear the coaching advice. I think I'll have to play around with disbling carplay as I think that's taking over the catalyst bluetooth connnection. Anyway, also got the AIM Solo 2 and that'll be nice to capture more data and be more stress-free compared to the TrackAddict, external GPS, OBDII BT setup I have right now that is very finicky.

I was on the way to turning off MDM Mode and going DSC OFF with decreasing M Traction number over time. Since getting the M2 CS Tune, the MDM is even less intrusive now and allows for some more additional tire slip. I'll work on maximizing this before moving to fully turning it off.

I've got a lot of room to grow with this setup. No need for more car mods for now. Really need DRIVER mods...time for a few HPDE days with a coach.

Notes:
- I still suck at braking and it's probably the biggest reason I'm not doing consistent sub 150's now. T4 T7 T11 seem to be where I can scrub off more time
- T4 is the bane of my existence. My braking, my line, all suck. Went off once there
- I'm carrying more speed through T1...sometimes too much speed, and one of the things i picked up from the session with Zygrene is giving some quick firm brake transitioning out of T1 when wheels straighten a bit to quickly shave off speed to help get all the way over to the left for best setup for T2.
- T7 I'm tracking out wider to be able to carry more speed through and exiting the turn. (the one Garmin coach advice I actually could hear) The extra speed is making it less tempting to downshift to 2nd.
- T11 Still unsure what the best line through here is
- M2 CS Tune quick feedback:
- Power gains on the manual are slight, nothing like what's been reported about the automatic.
- JB4 Map 1 is noticeably quicker but power comes on strong after some lag, and this was really noted by both Zygrene and Jubbal and made for a little wild ride coming out of slow corners some times. Since I daily this car, my throttle muscle memory accounts for this so I'm used to managing it.
- Noticable (but not huge...maybe 20%) improvement in chassis and steering feel with this tune
- Full DSC mode feels like old MDM mode, and new MDM mode allows for more slip

Great weekends overall and thanks to @lightspeed369 and @speedsftrackevents8380 for another great event
