What an awesome race! I was gridded 8th behind Aubrey car #027 P1 in class, Joe in his 992 and Troy car #277 P2 in class. I had a great start, I got around all of them. Then the chase was on to catch Goetz. There was definitely lots to learn in the race in regards to race craft and such. Which led to my down fall on one of the last green laps where Aubrey and I went 3 wide with a GTD3 Cayman into the brake zone.... I flinched first. Next lap my fuel pump started to die which gave me running problems especially on the back straight (high RPM high load situations). Luckily a double yellow came out then a few laps later the checkered flag, so I was able to limp the car to the finish line and get Second! Oh not to mention messing up the esses on lap 2 and 3.... talk about some crazy hang time!
