June 14-15, the FasterSkunk Racing team took our 2018 Audi RS3 to SCCA Time Trials National Tour stop at Carolina Motorsports Park (CMP).
CMP is notorious for being hard on brakes, and heat soaks very easily. Most people were down a few full seconds from their own lap times, so for us to get a PB, AWD SCCA Record, and Max 2 class win was pretty spectacular!
Rob has also had extensive time racing his Honda Fit, and attributes some minor line and momentum changes to this track to his learnings on the other platform. Furthermore, fitting Vitour P1 tires, which handle the heat of the heavy Audi RS3 (~3750lbs race weight) has been spectacular for consistency from lap to lap, this just happened to be on Lap 2!
