EXE-Crew Trackday 4th May 2014 @ Winton Raceway
Driver: Silas Bonar Andrianto
Car: BMW E30 325i - 1170kg - 97rwkw (130whp)
Best Lap time of the day: 1:47.8
Personal Best: 1:47.3 21 Nov 2011 (1200kg 100rwkw)
first part was my fastest lap of the day and second part of the video is the pic in pic comparison between my personal best in 21 Nov 2011 (1:47.3) vs my best lap of the day (1:47.8).
i know 0.5 meant nothing for most people but to me, i just want to see the differences after 2.5 years off from winton while i was busy overseas and hopefully i can learn from it.
so my observation between the 2 clips: it is interesting how my racing in sentul has changed my driving style from aggressive to somehow more relaxed and smooth approach. i didn't need to use 2nd gear anymore and gain abit more speed on the sweeper.
the old clip clearly shows how the car was in much healthier condition and better power curve as it catches up on every straight to the current clip despite slightly slower corner speed. interesting...
others than that, the differences are just minors and couldn't easily be render obsolete. more important things is that not effort is useless and for those who question "was it worth it?"... i answered "absolutely!"... next to do is to replace the tired M20B25 with something more proper. stay tuned :)
Regards,
Silas Bonar
