F2003-GA
The Ferrari F2003-GA, designated "GA" in memory of recently deceased Fiat head Gianni Agnelli, represents Ferrari 2003 Formula 1 championship-winning car that secured Michael Schumacher sixth Drivers Championship and Ferrari Constructors title. Introduced mid-season after the F2002 proved competitive enough to continue development, the F2003-GA featured significant aerodynamic improvements including new bulbous sidepods and lengthened wheelbase. The Ferrari Type 052 naturally aspirated 2.997-liter V10 at 90 degrees produced 660-710 kW (approximately 930 bhp) with an astonishing 19,000 rpm rev limit, paired with a seven-speed semi-automatic sequential transmission with limited-slip differential.
The chassis featured carbon fiber and honeycomb composite structure measuring 4,545mm in length, 1,796mm width, 959mm height, with a 3,100mm wheelbase, 1,470mm front track, and 1,405mm rear track. Independent pushrod-activated torsion spring suspension front and rear with carbon fiber wishbones provided exceptional handling on Bridgestone tires. Schumacher won five Grand Prix with the F2003-GA (Spain, Austria, Canada, Italy, United States), ultimately capturing his sixth title by just two points over McLaren Kimi Raikkonen, breaking Juan Manuel Fangio 46-year-old record of five championships. Ferrari secured the final three races of 2003 to claim the Constructors Championship, demonstrating the F2003-GA effectiveness against strong Williams and McLaren competition.
