Trackday #16 in the G87. been over 6 months since I've been at Thunderhill East and there's some significant updates to the M2! I've got the Verus Engineering front spiltter, UCW wing, JB4 running only Map 1, VTForged SL-A.3 SuperLites with Conti ECF 295/30/19 square setup, Gyrodisc front rotors, and new Pagid RSL29 pads. 6 months ago, my best time was 2.06. Between the additional seat time and these updates to my car, I was hoping to get into maybe the 2.01's. But the 106 deg weather was getting in the way. Much of power gains from the JB4 were largely negated by the high intake temps (peaks of 143 deg) and while i felt the ECF's definitely were more consisent than the PS4S i've been running, they still fell off noticeably as the temps shot up and the tire temps were reading 199+ deg! Still overall, another 106+ deg track day and the G87’s stock cooling system keeps anything from overheating. I still was able to at least pull off a PB of 2.03.8, a couple more in the low 2.04s, and my TrackAddict theoretical best was low 2.01s! I'm hoping next time I'm here with cooler temps I can actually get there!

Notes:
- I'm still gradually better about braking. Starting a tad earlier. But at same time, getting used to the new Pagid's installed a few days earlier.
- Garmin says biggest opportunity of nearly a full second can be had with better/earlier braking and hitting apex into turn 11 and definitely with 14
- I'm still intimidated by turn 1....
- New VTForged wheels and Verus wing look AMAZING. I need to get some glamor photos with this config...
- As expected, noticeble difference with stability and rear end grip with this new config but a lot of changes at once. going to 295's all around, new Conti ECFs, and aero. It was a really hot day at 106 and the tires definitely felt gummy in the later sessions. Understeers at limit that you can definitely feel esp in turn 2.
