Graduated from Politecnico di Torino for Bachelor and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology(ETHZ) for Master, Kainian Liu was Former Automotive Engineer. He has both CEC(China Endurance Championship) and CTCC Sports CUP(China Touring Car Chanpionship Sports Cup) Winner title，holding FIA International C Racing License. He is also a Nurburgring Nordschleife Enthusiasts, in May 2025, he participated in 24H Nurburgring Qualifier Race。
First ever Xiaomi SU7 Ultra BTG Laptime 7:09.8!
The car is standard version with Air suspension(the 7:04.9 official record was with Track/Competition Package that uses Bilstein damper), and was shipped from Beijing to Nurburgring two month ago. I was fortunately enough to catch a relatively clean lap on the 3rd of June during GranTurismo's Track Day.
However the tire was quite worn out, with around 60-70% of life-left, being this lap "the 7th Flying Lap" on this set of tire, the grip is still steady with no sudden "cliff-like" drop, which is amazing.
During this lap the iPhone running Racechrono is dead, I immediately went another lap afterwards and got 7:10.58, showing the lap time was repeatable.
After 7:10.58, the Racechrono ideal lap shows 7:06.02, slightly beating the "hypothetical(in my mind)" Taycan Turbo GT's 7:07.55, of course when all measured by BTG standard:)
