Fresh off a rain shower, we found a short dry window and took full advantage. We sent Randy Pobst out on our 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance track build out for a hot lap on Buttonwillow Raceway’s brand-new “Circuit Track.” The result? A 1:51.79.

Keep in mind, we did perform this in non-optimal track conditions but we learned a lot from our first trip to this new track. We are already looking forward to coming back and beat this time, we are confident we can shave off a couple of seconds off.

Some Track Learnings:
– Straights are FAST. You can reach up to 120–130 mph easily, so brake discipline is key.
– Banked corners let you carry momentum confidently, you can see how Randy had fun in these.
– Turn 8’s decreasing radius is a challenge that will always test your your smoothness
– Thermal management matters—especially if you’re doing back-to-back laps

Don't sleep on this new layout—it's fun, fast, and perfect for pushing your car’s limits.

The Build Specs for this Model 3 Performance:
Features the latest generation Performance drive unit—the most powerful ever fitted to the Model 3, enabling 510 hp, 0–60 in 2.9s.
