i was stuck on 1:55.4-1:55.7 for a while now, and finally i reset my self and fix my bad habit of slacking on the entry.. i tend to just toss the car into the corner with excessive steering input to induce oversteer… it works for me because i am used to testing many different rwd cars… this allow me to read the limit of the car.
this time i tidy up my entry… the exit still all over the place because i dont have time to find the sweet spot between throttle input progressive and the steering angle… so i tend to zero counter and shake the steer left and right…
this car is hard for me because of the seating position. the driver is 180cm tall and 125kg, and i am a short 170cm and 75kg… so the big seat throw me around if i don’t hang onto the steering wheel and i put the seat cushion on my lower back to boost me forward in order to reach the pedal… still the seat is too low for me… but this made me braver coz i could not really see over the dash… 🤣 not as scary… just a guessing game on some entry…
took a while to get used to it and as i get older, i adapt slower to changes… i hope i can still drive hard till my dying days… its the only thing in this world that kept me focus… for those who know me personally, i suffered mild ADD and Hyper Active… i find it hard to focus on one thing… and driving hard is the only time i can focus…
also with my financial limitations, i am lucky people still trust me with their cars for me to push around the circuit… i always wanted to be a car test driver on circuit… i told my wife a long time ago… i want to try as many cars as i could to open my mind… and i am realising that dream in 2016… only in 2020 i decided to start sharing it, because my friends encouraged me to do so… initially i thought, no one would even be interested seeing boring on board driving video… so i am grateful that i have subscribers….
this long description is a must because i have been holding back since april not to post any of my 1:55.xx videos due to personal reasons… i find now is the right time.. it is the end of the race season, so i am not offending anyone.
thank you for watching… i hope indonesian motorsport keep growing and inspire the world 🙇🏻♂️
