October 17, 2022: PCA event at the AutoBahn Country Club running the full track. Was my first outing on the full track. Temps were cool, upper 30s to low 40s. Snow was seen by several on the morning drive out. I was running in the Intermediate (Yellow) Group.
These are the final few laps where I put in my days best at 2:55.029. Not a particular fast lap time, 7/10s was the word of the day, and happy my least session was mostly 3:00 and under. Consistency is a victory of sorts.
We lost 1 car (GT4) from the Advanced (White) group in the 2nd session after a scary barrier impact tracking out of turn 1, which resulted in a roll-over with a small fire (brake fluid when wheel and caliber were separated from the hub), that fortunately didn't spread. Driver was lucky, he was pulled from the car and walked to the EMS vehicle.
For this clip I let a couple of P-Cars go by so we could play a little cat and mouse. I almost took the leading 997 Turbo, but missed my line at turn 14 so I didn't get the entry speed I needed at 15. Else I was gaining and had the better line going into 13, which made up a lot of ground.
Mods are simply Motul 660 Fluid, Hawk 60 pads up front, and Hawk Street/Track for the rear.
Tires are Michelin PSS, standard OEM.
Car is OEM outside of those brakes.
