We were so excited to be one of the first to experience the newly repaved Sonoma Raceway surface. It was so fresh, fun and smoooooth! However, there were still several crashes to the walls. :( It hasn't changed that Sonoma Raceway is a track that commands respect. ∠(°ゝ°)

TL;DR, "50 shades of understeer". ⊙﹏⊙|||
I love how these SX2 tires were talking to me. But on this new surface, they seemed to freak out quite a while before reaching the limit. (⊙o⊙)

This was my 1st time bringing the GR86 here! Before this, I drove my ND2 Miata here for 5 times including some hot laps during Miata Reunion 2023. With the same tires, my PB was only 2:07.26 back then (https://youtu.be/x58r1ovI764). 
But now with the 86 Challenge, my favorite part is to chase friends with the same chassis and setup. I so enjoy seeing my improvements throughout the day. My 3 goals of any track day are to: be safe, have fun and learn something new. Looking forward to the next event!
