November 6, 2022:
The first weekend of November brought us back to one of our favorite tracks, CMP. This time we were back running with NASA with the aim to test into the TT program and set another Personal Best.
Going into the weekend we did a last minute diff swap, going from a blown LSD to an open diff. I also decided against running my full aero package. Opting to go with as close to a TT6 setup as I could. On second hand, well worn RS4s that I had tracked and autox'd on several times throughout the year, I was aiming for a 1:58 minute lap.
It was on my last session on Sunday, a combined DE 3 & 4 session, that the track and car felt the fastest of the weekend and I had less traffic to negotiate. I had several small mistakes this lap, but overall I was happy with the 1:59.6 knowing I can pick up more time on fresher tires and a cleaner lap. Had I not caught the traffic in front at the end of the video, the next lap was looking about 3/10s faster so a low 59 is easily achievable as the car sits.
