This was my first time doing PIR without the chicane, and about 18 months since I've been to this track. The session is a bit sloppy as I am trying to figure out where to brake and turn for T4 (now T1 I suppose) and get a rhythm going across the track. I also hit 150mph on the front straight which is the fastest I've been in this car - I suppose that's a milestone of sorts. With chicane my previous best top speed was ~126mph and I was not expecting much more than 140 without the chicane. The Loba really breathes up top and the car was pulling all the way to redline in 4th and 5th gears. So much fun!

This was the first session of the day and the air was cool so the turbo was happy, though the track felt a bit greasy overall. PIR has had racing for the last 5 days so likely from that? Anyway, it was fun figuring it all out to get a rhythm. It was not until the third session that I had a nice rhythm going.

They only had passing on the front and back straights and that made for some traffic. While the drivers were quite aware and most were good with timely point by's, when you are behind them through the infield sections it does slow things down a bit. Never a bad thing to get a breather though. Was running 1:20.xx all day with a best of 1:20.11. More to be had to with clean air and seat time. Great day overall.
